1年生向けの入門オムニバス講義「情報文化入門B」の第2セッションのお題はジェンダー論。男は外で働き女は家を守るという社会通念はどのように生じたのか、なぜ見るのはつねに男性であり見られるのはつねに女性であるのか、新しい家族のありかたはどのようなものなのか等々、ある意味でとても生々しく、つらい問題でしたが、このようなテーマであっても、社会学や政治学のように「重く」扱うのではなく、われわれが日々接しているイメージや広告や歌といった、一見すると「軽い」文化の側面からアプローチしていくのが文コミの特徴なのかもしれません。今日の講義は旧約聖書のアダムとエヴァから始まって、例によってもうひとつの「林檎」で閉め。うまくオチがついたことになったかどうか。
